Important Note About PERMANENT KEYS for USB Customers

OBD II Pro Plus USB customers can get a permenant key.

Serial connectors are still done the old way with the ID #. Serial to USB using the converter is still Serial and must be done the old way.

The advantage to the new USB pemenant Key is that our customers can use that USB OBD II Connector plug and install it on any PC . Serial version can not. You also must use our latest full version 5 software.

The following instructions are for USB customers only. Follow these directions or it will not work.

** NOTE** The code above is software based for serial connectors.

If you have a USB connector please follow the next steps:

1. Connect the OBD-II connector to any vehicle (not the SCI connector).
2. Wait until the DTC screen has finished loading.
3. Go to Help|About.
4. On the lower-right hand corner, you will see a "Hardware Serial Number".
5. Send that number, along with the purchaser name to .

Activation Key:

Note: Enhanced interfaces users: 5.x will require a new activation code. The process has changed. USB hardware users, please follow the instructions in the software to get a new permanent hardware code.

IF you are running a version 4 or older YOU WILL need a new activation code. If you need send YOUR NAME, telephone number, email address, Serial Number and ID number to get your new Key To get your new key email sales@aatecusa.com  or  Call now 330-239-1647  

If your AC-10 is more than 1 year old, we need to collect the $50 maintenance fee before your new activation key can be issued. AATEC collects the fee but it goes to the factory.

HOW TO FIND YOUR ID NUMBER:

Start ScanTool, Click Help, Click Activate, If Enhancements are shown in Yellow They are NOT activated, Click Activate AGAIN to get ID Number. Send this number with other info above

1. Use the same activation code if your previous version was 5.x.x.

2. Install this Version on top of the old ver. Do not uninstall the old version..
   
   
3. You may need a new key – email sales@aatecusa.com  or  Call now 330-239-1647  to get your new free key. For those that purchased Enhanced and Dual features, the activation codes WILL change between 4.X and 5.0(or later)
   
   
4. For our Chrysler SCI purchasers, please download the firmware update as well.
   
   
5. On the SCI connector – if the USB side connection is white – it must be exchanged for a black (flashable) unit. You must then Flash the black SCI connector unit with the SCI software below to update to Version 4.0(or later). You must be connected to a Chrysler Car while you flash the unit.  If you need a flashable connector – send your white unit to AATEC for a free exchange. General Download & Installation Notes

Notes:

1. The files are Very large. It will take some time over a 56kbps Modem. (6.9MB - 25MB)
2. The file has been zipped to reduce its download time. Once you complete your download, save the file to disk, then Unzip it and save the extracted files into the same directory as your existing software.
3. (If you need an Unzip Program - you can find a free one or a free demo of one at www.cnet.com Downloads section.)
4. Follow installation directions above based upon your current software version.

6. All customers should save and print their codes from us in case they need to reinstall the software. All codes from version 3.1 and above are the same on the same PC or laptop and should be put in a safe place.
