Sometimes independent service shops and vehicle tuners require more information than what OBDII can provide. Since the OBDII standard covers only emissions-related Powertrain systems and sensors, there is a lot information you won’t be able to see. With our enhanced interfaces you can get factory tool-like capabilities with our ScanTool; allowing you to access hundreds of extra systems, sensors, and system tests so you can do your job faster and with a greater degree of accuracy.

Enhanced interfaces are software-only updates¹ for our ScanTool line that, once purchased, can be activated through email. There is no extra installation or special hardware necessary¹. The enhanced interfaces are licensed to single PC and come with free updates for the first year. There is no annual license fee and you can transfer your license to another PC if necessary. Updates to the enhanced interfaces are free for the first year; another year of updates is only 50 USD. (That's 50 per ScanTool not per enhanced interface.)

In some cases enhanced interfaces are required to connect to medium-size trucks like the Ford Super Duty or Chevy Duramax. Due to their excessive vehicular weight they are usually not required to be OBDII compliant.

Enhanced interface for Ford (EI01) 1994-2006

With the OBDII standard Ford only supports 20 - 40 sensors per the typical vehicle. But using the enhanced Ford interface, a typical Ford vehicle will support 200 - 300 sensors. Our enhanced Ford interface is only matched by dealer tools, we have support for 2900+ sensors selected from 68 systems. What’s more, the enhanced Ford interface would give you access to system tests like EVAP Bay Test, KOEO, KOER, Cylinder Contribution Test, Buzz Injector Test, Switch Test, Glow Plug Test, Windshield Wiper Tests, etc.

Enhanced interface for GM (EI02) 1995-2006*

Our enhanced GM interface supports 6400+ sensors selected from the powertrain, body, and transmission systems. For you tuners out there, our enhanced GM interface gives you access to the Crank Position Learned test for most vehicles.

*Does not support SAAB, Opel, Vauxhall, Saturn VUE, or CAN-based GM vehicles.

Enhanced interface for Toyota/Scion/Lexus (EI03) 1995-2005*

*Does not support the CAN Prius in the current release.

Enhanced interface for Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth/Eagle (EI04) 1996-2005*

Our enhanced Chrysler interface supports hundreds of sensors selected from the powertrain system. It includes hi- and low-speed sensor support giving you more sensors and faster throughput then our competitors. This enhanced interface comes with its own hardware interface specifically designed for Chrysler SCI controllers. By doing a stand-alone interface we can offer you more SCI coverage then our competitors who are limited by electrical issues with generic OBD-II. Currently, our SCI interface is USB only; a serial version, transmission support, and 2002-2005 support is being worked on currently and will be a free update.
