In December, ATA Visited the Maps Museum

The ATA seminar was held at the MAPS Museum on
Dec 8th 2004.
For directions, musuem photos etc. Click Here

We got a guided tour of the new finished hanger with lots of WWII planes, saw the construction of the planes, visited the museum store, sat in the WWII theater with a movie, and checked out the WWII library, inspected all the WWII Items and looked at all the finished planes in the new hanger. We did this a few years ago and the members have hounded me to do it again when the hanger was finished. We had a big turnout of approximately 60 members and guests for this special meeting.

Everyone had a great time and it was a great way to close out 2004. We want to Thank Maps for putting on a fine seminar. The tour guides really knew their stuff and we thank them for spending their evening with us.

Winners : Lucky Beto won the 50/50 again. Tom Knap & John Haller
won the AST Training OBD Books donated by AATEC

Tom Rayk will give you insight on one of the hottest selling cars around - the Ford Escape Hybrid. They can’t keep ‘em in the show room - so its only a matter of time before ATA members start seeing them in your shops. Learn about them in the Oct 6 ATA Meeting.

It will be held at the Polaris facility so there is room for plenty of guests.

Special Bonus: Tom will spend about 30 mins on a Mode 6 demonstration!

The Ford Escape Hybrid is a whole new kind of SUV that combines electric and gasoline propulsion without compromise to provide breakthrough performance, efficiency, cleanliness and convenience. The Escape Hybrid is the first vehicle to combine an advanced hybrid powertrain in a highly versatile sport-utility configuration.

The Ford Escape Hybrid combines SUV capability with the outstanding fuel economy (EPA estimated mpg: 4x2 36 City / 31 Hwy***), and low environmental impact of a full hybrid. The no compromise Escape Hybrid drives normally, performs superbly and offers all the features you'd expect from the SUV leader. Roomy, comfortable seating for five, a versatile cargo area, 1000-pound towing capacity, and an optional Intelligent 4WD System which offers the same all-weather traction and off-road capability available in traditional Escape models.
